Horsemanship

Students in grades 5-12 learn to ride horses and take care of them.  Grades 5-8 take this class weekly and High School students may choose it as an elective. Equine Science is offered in high school as well. Research has shown that equine therapy and being in the presence of a horse has a calming effect on human beings, and riding horses is very helpful with special needs students. It also helps students with attention deficit disorders and behavioral issues. All of our students look forward to Horsemanship class and love to ride!!!
