CGCS promotes high level academic achievements through its Alpha Honor Society.  Eligibility requirements for this prestigious honor society include: students must score a “meets” on their AZ State required tests in Reading and Math and at least on “exceeds” on either the Reading, Math, Writing or Science tests. Once they are inducted into the Alpha Society students must maintain all A’s and B’s and are allowed on V on each progress report period.  Benefits to Alpha members include: monthly enrichment field trips to varying Art Shows, Musical Performances, Plays, Museums, ETC., points added to their Leader Up awards, eligibility for the annual Alpha Society E.E.L.S. Expedition Scholarships, annual awards for active members, and an invitation to the annual Banquet with their parents (paid for by the school).
